Understanding the diversity of peoples and traditional communities and the cultural particularities of these groups, which, for the most part, are in a situation of economic vulnerability, we present the “CREATIVE ECONOMY CARAVAN IN MARAJÓ”.
It is important to understand that the Creative Economy is the set of businesses based on intellectual and cultural capital and creativity that generates economic value.
The creative industry stimulates income generation, creates jobs and produces revenue, promotes cultural diversity and human development. Activities are considered in which creativity and intellectual capital are the raw material for the creation, production and distribution of goods and services.
At the end of the 20th century, creativity began to be recognized as an essential activity in the construction of a new economy, changing the nature of work far beyond capital and raw materials.

With this premise, the term “creative economy” arises, derived from the term “creative nation”, uttered by the Prime Minister of Australia in 1994, and later disseminated in England, which committed efforts to the growth of sectors linked to design, fashion, architecture, arts, tourism, media among others.

According to data from FIRJAN, the Brazilian creative industry in 2019 represented 2.61% of all wealth generated in the national territory.

In the Brazilian market, the following activities are understood as belonging to the creative economy: animation; architecture; performing arts; visual arts; craftsmanship; audio-visual; popular culture; design; entertainment; events; games; gastronomy; literature and publishing market; fashion; music; advertising; radio; software applied to the creative economy; cultural tourism; and TV.

Thus, the Creative Economy Caravan in Marajó is an action that aims to train entrepreneurs belonging to traditional peoples and communities in the municipalities of Marajó, with a view to enhancing the activities they already carry out, with the aim of these groups having greater income acquisition to face the reality of socioeconomic lag. , in addition to the quest to keep their cultural traditions alive.

the 50 worst HDIs from the country.

Based on data from the HDI, when sending information to SNPIR, by the Marajoara municipalities, on the traditional peoples existing in their territories, and on the geographical layout of the municipalities, which considered the division of Marajó into the micro-regions of the Arari, Portel and Furo de Breves, the following municipalities were chosen to develop this action: Afuá, Cachoeira do Arari, Chaves, Muaná, Ponta de Pedras Salvaterra, Santa Cruz do Arari and Soure located in the Arari microregion and the municipality of Afuá, in the Furo de Breves microregion to pilot this action.
