O Program Healthy Living is a Partnership between two actions of the Ministry of Citizenship aimed at elderly people: the Elderly Friendly Brazil Strategy (Ebapi), linked to the Special Secretariat for Social Development, and the Program Healthy Life, from the Special Secretariat for Sport. With this union, the municipalities that are already part of the Initiative from the Social Development department will be able to receive kits to promote the practice of physical exercise and leisure for the elderly, increasing their quality of life, expanding the socialization process and helping to recover their health. To receive the equipment, adherence to the Strategy is necessary.
With this, the Program Vida Saudável should expand and serve more than 460 municipalities that are part of the Elderly Friendly Brazil Strategy. The equipment will be passed on to municipalities through Donation direct. Furthermore, the Program will offer training to professionals who will monitor activities aimed at the elderly.
