Our survey attempts to extract information in the clearest and most reliable way possible. It is clear that, for circumstantial reasons, some data may not be complete, since, for example: there are resources that are transferred to Civil Society Organizations – CSOs, through the National Funds, such as health, education or social assistance, and which end up not being resources transferred directly from the Granting Body to the Institution.
Only 2.7% of the more than 820 thousand civil society organizations in Brazil received federal resources between 2010 and 2018, shows a survey carried out by the Institute of Economic and Applied Research (Ipea). The transfers amount to a total of R$ 118.5 billion, which is equivalent to 0.5% of the Union budget for the years included in the research.
