BELIEVE

ACREDITH is a public utility institution focused on social well-being and Guarantee of the human rights of the most vulnerable sections of the population. Its aims and objectives are aimed at promoting human rights, citizenship and the right to life. Its integrity and expertise is consolidated by 7 years of continuous activities in the city of Belo Horizonte. Throughout its institutional history, it has offered qualified support to people who, for various reasons, have been excluded or have little use for the rights that all humans should have access to, regardless of class, creed, culture or ethnicity.

Our story

Acredith has social work of an ethical, technical and humanistic nature, being recognized by the community and local public authorities. For this reason, they have been supported through agreements and financing for programs and projects of public interest. The lack of prevention or the deepening of situations of vulnerability may lead to situations of social risk arising from exposure to violence, drug addiction, sexual exploitation, negligence, among other rights violations that we aim to mitigate. Extreme poverty, homelessness and illiteracy, for example, are elements of vulnerability that can worsen it and increase social risk.

Its activities are mainly focused on promoting rights and promoting citizenship for vulnerable and socially vulnerable people in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. Social vulnerability is a term that points to social groups, contexts and places within a society that are marginalized, those who are excluded from benefits and the exercise of their own rights.
In your main Project, “Revisando Vidas”, Acredith directly reached 10,000 beneficiaries in situations of social vulnerability with its work to promote human rights, prevention, comprehensive monitoring, resocialization and human development.
The Proposal for Seminars for the Promotion of Human Rights comes from the experience accumulated in the success of the Project from “Revisando Vidas”. In this Initiative already consolidated, we initially welcome participants who undergo screening and consultation with a social assistance and psychology professional and, depending on the assessments, we direct people to an immersion, a carefully programmed thematic retreat that takes place on an excursion to a site amidst nature. Here, beneficiaries participate in a wide range of activities to promote rights, which serve as a moment to build knowledge, reflect and change. We also strengthen hope in oneself, the fortification of one's social bases in life, with affective, rational and perceptive motivation. All activities in this Project are aimed at diluting risk, social vulnerability and rescuing citizenship through actions that rely on specific methodologies.
This one Project has been promoting Human Rights objectively since 2012, working with knowledge and social actions in the work of reinsertion and reintegration of vulnerable people, who were deprived of their most basic rights. We seek funding through this Ministry to continue and increasingly add its guidelines to the work of our Institution.
