Nepotism
There is fear on the part of the population, as well as on the media when it comes to nepotism.
According to Wikipedia, Nepotism (of Latin nepos, grandchild or downward) is the term used to designate the favoring of relatives (or close friends) to the detriment of more qualified people, especially with regard to appointment or elevation of positions.
If the above definition were completely correct, appointing relatives with technical capabilities and qualifications would not be considered nepotism. However, Brazilian legislation, for now, does not yet make this distinction.
This is one of those problems where the good pay for the bad. In the case of many qualified, competent and highly qualified professionals, they cannot be nominated to occupy public positions because they have a relative with a public servant in a commanding position in the public sphere.
To prevent bad actors from using the rule unduly and favor relatives without technical or even intellectual qualifications to occupy positions based on their appointment, the law affects everyone.
I see the following mistakes:

Just analyze the great difficulty that the courts are having in rooting out nepotism in the courts in all instances. Thus, many judges, judges, ministers and civil servants use cross-indications, aiming to circumvent the legislation.
I am in favor, not of nepotism in the way it is presented today, but that, even though I am a relative of the civil servant in a leadership position, or political agent, proven technical and professional qualifications, mainly through diplomas, experience in previous work in a related area Yes, take advantage of it, I don't see any problem with that.
What cannot happen is a civil servant in a leadership position or a political agent hiring a relative, without experience, without technical capacity, without education, without the minimum level of training to occupy a technical position.
