Dr. Gimenez explains the importance of professionalizing the work of Third sector which involves more than 12 million people in the country and contributes services to society
The Thematic Sector Chamber of Third sector promoted the first meeting of the year on Monday (16), at 9 am, in the committee room of the Legislative Assembly. Among the agenda was guidance on raising public resources in Mato Grosso for the 2020 financial year.
According to state deputy Dr. Gimenez (PV), who presides over the CST, the main objective was to contribute to the professionalization of the activities of associations, foundations and philanthropic entities throughout the state, in order to improve the provision of the various services offered to society .
“More than 12 million people are involved in philanthropic activities in the Third sector in Brazil. Due to this relevance, we installed the Thematic Sector Chamber on October 29th of last year, seeking to guide, publicize and inform these professionals about project development, Volunteering and its specificities, financial and accounting management and administration”.
With the new rules resulting from the Framework Report, there is a need for entities to adapt to meet public-private partnerships (PPPs). That is why the following were also discussed at the meeting: division of work axes; dissemination of courses for members of the Sector Chamber, the Bottom for Children and Adolescents and Public Hearing “Regulatory Framework for Organizations of Civil society – Law 13,019/2014 and its practical applications”.
Third sector – It is the set of institutions such as foundations, associations, non-governmental organizations, philanthropic entities and others, which are private but non-profit initiatives, which work in favor of the common good and citizenship. The training of professionals working in the Third sector fills social gaps generated by failures in the first and second sectors (government and private sector/market).
