But in 2019, after working for a whole year, from February to December, indicating the resource, preparing the project, preparing the work plan, carrying out due diligence, correcting errors and mistakes made by an NGO, due to technical problems, it was necessary to migrate the resource to another institution, I reached the end of the year with a balance of around 800 thousand to be appointed to a third sector organization. It was already the end of the first half of December, meaning time was my biggest enemy.
Our survey attempts to extract information in the clearest and most reliable way possible. It is clear that, for circumstantial reasons, some data may not be complete, since, for example: there are resources that are transferred to Civil Society Organizations – CSOs, through the National Funds, such as health, education or social assistance, and which end up not being resources transferred directly from the Granting Body to the Institution.
How successful is a pickup? It's not just about having a network. My network of relationships from yesterday may no longer be useful for my fundraising today. Building and developing the relationship network is part of the issue, the most important thing is to develop and maintain the Social Capital of the relationship, this requires constant effort and investment.
We are living in difficult times because of the Corona Virus Pandemic, in this context Non-Profit Organizations are going through, perhaps, one of their worst moments, and it seems to me that, at least for now, things are not going to get better. So, what can we do to improve our Fundraising, minimizing the negative impact of this difficult period and, at the same time, increasing our income?
