[vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Instituto EDP doa R$ 1 milhão para comunidades em razão do coronavírus”][vc_column_text]A EDP Brasil, empresa do setor elétrico, e a EDP Renováveis Brasil recebem inscrições para o Notice EDP Solidária – Covid 19, with the aim of selecting initiatives aimed at combating the pandemic in vulnerable communities in Brazil.
Through the Institute EDP, R$ 1 million in own resources will be allocated to support projects that present solutions to the problems generated by the new coronavirus. Registration can be made until April 10th at website of Institute.
O Notice EDP Solidária – Covid 19 accepts applications from non-governmental entities, associations, startups, consultancies and service providers, among others.
Projects must propose socioeconomic solutions against the problems generated by the new coronavirus, preferably in vulnerable communities within EDP's area of operation in the country, in the states of São Paulo, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso, Amapá, Ceará, Rio Grande do Sul and Tocantins.
Projects must present solutions, such as:
- Support for vulnerable audiences, with priority for low-income/underserved communities, the elderly and indigenous communities. Actions and initiatives that meet the basic/sanitary needs of this public will be considered, such as Guarantee the right to food, hygiene and cleaning, basic sanitation and public awareness.
- Projects and actions that enable the reduction of the economic impact resulting from the crisis, such as through the generation of work and income, collaborative economy solutions and valorization of Entrepreneurship local.
- Projects that present solutions to detect and combat coronavirus and to prevent the general population.
The result will be announced on April 15th and the funds will be transferred on the 16th. Projects must begin immediately and the invested resources can be used for up to six months, counting from the date of transfer by the Institute EDP.
Last week, EDP had announced the Donation of R$ 6 million for the purchase of respirators for the Intensive Care Units (ICU) of public hospitals in the State of São Paulo. A Donation was carried out through the organization Comunitas, which raised a total of R$ 23.4 million, from 150 companies.
