Created on July 31, 1969, through Decree Law No. 719, its purpose is to provide financial support to priority scientific and technological development programs and projects, notably for the implementation of the Basic Plan for Scientific and Technological Development (PBDCT) and regulated by the FNDCT Law (Law nº 11,540/07) and Decree nº 6,938/09.

O Bottom It is managed by the Financier of Studies and Projects (FINEP), a public company linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The company aims to develop Brazil economically and socially through public investment in Science, Technology and Innovation in projects that encompass companies, universities and other public and private institutions.
