Campaign Story

“Heart of the Cerrado” shows the high paradise of Goiás, capital of Chapada dos Veadeiros, the highest area of the Brazilian Central Plateau. It houses the largest concentration of humid high-altitude fields in the Brazilian Cerrado. Interspersed with photos of the region's fauna, flora and natural attractions, the author tells the story of Alto Paraíso de Goiás. The book covers everything from the first traces of human occupation, through Project Alto Paraíso and Project Towards the Sun by the groups A Arrival of Tourism and the Mystical groups in the last decades of the last century, today practically disappeared.

The realization of this Project, assumes that to develop a region and preserve its historical, cultural and natural heritage and at the same time generate work and income, it is necessary to develop people's sensitivity and awareness about this need, such as supporting economic development programs and promoting employment . The book is proposed so that we can awaken society's attention to the Sustainable development of the region through quality communication.

It will be a reference work in promoting Alto Paraíso de Goiás. It will strengthen the municipality's public policy, which is progressively getting involved in tourism, one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy and generating jobs. To instill in people the notion of Sustainability, you need culture. And education. Therefore, the book promotes culture as an instrument capable of positively interfering in people's lives.
