It is a qualification given by the Ministry of Justice to non-profit organizations that meet the requirements of Law 9790/99. They stand out for carrying out the purposes set out in article 3 of Law 9790/99 such as promoting social assistance, culture, conservation and defense of historical and artistic heritage, Volunteering, Sustainable development and environment, etc. OSCIP is optional when it comes to qualifications, meaning if you already have a membership you can choose to obtain this qualification. But new ones can now choose to start by qualifying as an OSCIP.
