Por\u00e9m, a desinforma\u00e7\u00e3o a respeito das entidades que o comp\u00f5em s\u00e3o extremamente prejudiciais para o bom desempenho daquelas que buscam participar, ativamente, da resolu\u00e7\u00e3o dos problemas sociais do nosso pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Afinal, quest\u00f5es pertinentes sempre surgem: que tipo de institui\u00e7\u00e3o eu estou apoiando? Como meu apoio ser\u00e1 aproveitado? Qual a diferen\u00e7a entre uma funda\u00e7\u00e3o e uma ONG? Para onde vai meu apoio?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">What is an NGO?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">O termo ONG significa Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o N\u00e3o-Governamental, mas essa nomenclatura n\u00e3o corresponde a uma natureza jur\u00eddica. \u00a0Ainda assim,\u00a0<b><strong>is used to identify private non-profit institutions, which work with actions of public interest, but are not linked to the government<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Popularly, every organization created by people who work voluntarily in defense of a cause \u2014 protecting the environment, defending human rights, eradicating child labor, combating hunger and poverty \u2014 is an NGO.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">But, judicially, NGOs are recognized for other duties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">O que \u00e9 uma associa\u00e7\u00e3o? E o que \u00e9 uma funda\u00e7\u00e3o?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">In legal terms,\u00a0<b><strong>toda ONG \u00e9 ou uma associa\u00e7\u00e3o, ou uma funda\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/b>. See how each of these assignments is characterized:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Associations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Associations are formed by a\u00a0<b><strong>group of people who come together to achieve a specific goal<\/strong><\/b>;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">It may or may not have initial equity;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Its purpose is defined by the members;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">It may carry out economic activities to generate, maintain or increase its assets, as long as members do not profit from such activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Foundations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0S\u00e3o constitu\u00eddas por patrim\u00f4nios voltados \u00e0 benefic\u00eancia ou caridade;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0They have initial assets and their activities revolve around the administration and distribution of this assets;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">They are private law entities with philanthropic purposes and with legal personality;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0They are administered in accordance with the objectives and foundations of their founder, who may be an individual or legal entity capable of indicating assets in its constitution;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Are the <b><strong>institui\u00e7\u00f5es que financiam as atividades do terceiro setor<\/strong><\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.institutobancorbras.org.br\/Public\/Upload\/Assets\/1110201610536289_800x300.jpg\" alt=\"Resultado de imagem para associa\u00c3\u00a7\u00c3\u00a3o x oscip\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Qual a diferen\u00e7a entre associa\u00e7\u00e3o e funda\u00e7\u00e3o?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Embora ambas se voltem para a presta\u00e7\u00e3o de servi\u00e7os filantr\u00f3picos e de interesse p\u00fablico, \u00e9 importante ressaltar suas diferen\u00e7as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">In foundations, the focus is on heritage. In associations, it is the individual;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0According to the law, foundations can only have moral, cultural, assistance or religious purposes. Associations are free to determine their purpose;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">The purpose of foundations must be permanent, but that of associations can be modified according to the objectives of the members;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 300;\">The Public Ministry monitors the activities carried out by both entities. In the case of foundations, there is an annual obligation to submit accounting and operational reports. For associations, this control is not so severe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">This is why small and medium-sized NGOs, support groups and research groups, for example, are always associations, as they do not have initial equity and depend on financing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Funding entities, large educational institutions, groups that promote projects and research, are foundations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Thus, it is possible to say that many foundations finance associations, but both are NGOs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">How do NGOs support themselves?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Aquelas que dependem de apoio financeiro podem contar com entidades privadas do terceiro setor ou do empresariado, com a doa\u00e7\u00e3o de pessoas f\u00edsicas solidarizadas pela causa que a institui\u00e7\u00e3o apoia e at\u00e9 mesmo com apoio do governo, nos casos em que h\u00e1 o fornecimento de recursos para atividades em que ambos possam unir for\u00e7as, como o fomento cultural.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Mas esses s\u00e3o apenas alguns dos tra\u00e7os do gigantesco universo do terceiro setor.
