I know that the research has completely different realities in relation to Brazil and our power distribution model. But I noticed many more similarities in the results than divergent points, so I think that a more detailed analysis of the results of this research can shed light on the Brazilian reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the last three years, 2019 to 2021<\/strong> The COVID-19 pandemic<\/strong> devastated all sectors of society. And it couldn't have been any different with the Third sector<\/strong>. Thus, Grassi produced a survey and consequently a report evaluating the current conditions and perspectives for Non-Profit Organizations<\/strong>, collecting data and information from benchmarking <\/em>that can help the sector in its recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The findings reveal the unique impact of the pandemic on this key market, the ongoing challenges faced by organizations large and small, and most importantly \u2013 how nonprofit leaders are strategically positioning their organizations to recover, reinvent, and rebuild a more certain future.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preliminary survey numbers<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The report presents a drastically disturbing scenario for Non-Profit Organizations<\/strong>. In a sector traditionally faced with the need to reduce costs, as opposed to the need to increase demand with the consequent decrease in financial sources, we found Pandemic of<\/strong> COVID-19<\/strong>, an amplifier of problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, many respondents experienced approximately 40% of decreased operating costs, 47% of decreased stable or declining demand for services, and, in turn, experienced 33% higher operating costs as well as increased demand for services around 53%, that is, demand increased and cash flows decreased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But even with this assistance, nearly a third of organizations surveyed had to cut programs and services, and only a small minority reported having more liquidity in the past 12 months. The outbreaks of COVID-19<\/strong> was an issue for more than 60% of employees interviewed, while an equal number cite ongoing challenges in attracting and retaining staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite these extensive changes, the report paints a picture of a resilient nonprofit sector.<\/strong> Below are some strategies employed by those interviewed to weather the storm, which, among other things, include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
