\"mama\"<\/a>From this Thursday (25th) onwards, the Unified Health System (SUS) will carry out plastic surgery to repair the breast immediately after its removal due to cancer, preferably in the same surgical procedure. The determination was published this Thursday in the Official Gazette of the Union.<\/p>\n

Amends Law no.O<\/sup><\/span> 9,797, of May 6, 1999, which \u201cprovides for the obligation of breast repair plastic surgery by the network of units that are part of the Unified Health System \u2013 SUS in cases of mutilation resulting from cancer treatment\u201d, to provide for the moment of breast reconstruction.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

A<\/b> PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC <\/b>I make it known that the National Congress decrees and I sanction the following Law:<\/p>\n

Art. 1O<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0 The art. twoO<\/sup><\/span> of Law no.O<\/sup><\/span> 9,797, of May 6, 1999, comes into force with the addition of the following \u00a7\u00a7 1O<\/sup><\/span> and 2O<\/sup><\/span>:<\/p>\n

\u201cArt. twoO<\/sup><\/span> ………………………………………………………………..<\/p>\n

\u00a7 1O<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0 When technical conditions exist, reconstruction will be carried out at the same surgical time.<\/p>\n

\u00a7 twoO<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0 If immediate reconstruction is impossible, the patient will be referred for follow-up and will be guaranteed surgery immediately after achieving the required clinical conditions.\u201d (NR)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Art. 2O<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0 This Law comes into force on the date of its publication.<\/p>\n
