Registration Date: Until March 15, 2023

Eligible: Only CSOs that work in: Mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions; Adapting to the impacts of climate change Conserving natural carbon sinks / REDD+; Conserving biological diversity.

Requirements: That have existed for more than 3 years; Have your own accountant and software-based accounting system; Average annual revenue above 330 thousand reais; The institution must be based and registered in countries that are on the DAC ODA Recipient List.

See below the eligibility criteria. We can only consider project proposals from organizations that meet all criteria.

Eligibility criteria for candidate organizations:

  • Applicant organizations must be non-profit organizations. For-profit non-governmental organizations are eligible if they pursue objectives strictly non-profit inside Scope of Project proposed.
  • Applicants must be based and registered in countries that are in List of DAC ODA Recipients . Please note that proposals from countries that are official or potential candidates for EU membership are not eligible. This does not apply to Ukraine.
  • Organizations must be in operation for at least three years .
  • Over the past three years, the organization must have had a average annual income of at least 60.000 and not exceeding 500.000 euros .
  • The average annual income over the last three years must be greater than (or equal to) the volume of financing requested.
  • Average annual revenue does not exceed the maximum revenue for eligible organizations (as specified in our funding information).  
  • The candidate must have accounting staff dedicated and have accounting principles that guarantee mechanisms of Internal control and external.
  • The requesting organization must employ a software-based accounting system that meets their respective national standards. (Excel is not considered sufficient)

Eligibility Criteria relating to the Project:

  • Project proposals must clearly address one of the IKI funding areas :
    • Mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions
    • Adapting to the impacts of climate change
    • Conserving natural carbon sinks / REDD+
    • Conserving biological diversity
  • The duration of the proposed projects should be of at least twelve months and in maximum three years . Longer durations may be acceptable if properly justified.
  • Projects must be implemented in local, national or regional level . Projects with a global focus cannot be funded.
  • Projects must be carried out by the candidate organization itself. Forwarding funds to other implementing partners or beneficiaries is not permitted.
  • The requested financing is in right proportion of your annual income (as specified in our financing information).
  • The application includes all mandatory documents .
  • Projects must have an initial draft of a capability development concept .
  • The documents sent are fully filled (This includes all Excel document sheets such as Budget and GANTT Chart).
  • You  current models provided on this website have been used (refrain from reformatting or modifying to avoid unintentional errors).
  • The proposal to Project must be presented in English .
